Organizing a Book: Take My Survey to Help!

Triallta at a St Pat's Show, 2010

Hey everyone! Long time, no blog. That’s because my last semester at the UIC School of Art and Design, and Triallta Irish Dance Company, are keeping me busy!

One of my Senior Projects deals with the beginnings of a book I want to write. If you have a few minutes, please go to Dance.net—Organizing a Book: Take My Survey? to look at some pretty pictures and see if I’m going in the right direction. Thank you!

Irish dance suggestions: Twitter and sneak peeks

Hi everyone—happy New Year! I’m hoping 2010 is going to rock. While last year started out spectacularly, studying abroad in Switzerland, it ultimately got a bit crusty around the edges. This year has to be all about discipline, and I’ll write on that in a bit.

I just got a new Twitter account for Irish dancing, ReelyClever. You’ll note that I only have a handful of people to follow so far. Who am I missing? You? Your favorite shop? Your dancing school? Let me know!

Also, I’m a sucker for new Web projects. I have a handful of them that I’ve had in my head for years, but never seem to do anything with them! (I have a bunch of craft ideas for ReelyClever.com, too, so I should start a blog there.) Problem is, I’m a designer, not a programmer, and my attempts to learn programming languages lean towards futile. It’s sad. So I don’t like sharing my ideas because I’m afraid I’ll never finish them! History proves me right. But maybe, just maybe, something will get going and I’ll be able to start talking about them here. Cross your fingers. It’s all about discipline this year.
